Synchrotron radiation studies of magnetic materials and devices
Zhang, Wen (2012) Synchrotron radiation studies of magnetic materials and devices. thesis.
| PDF 8Mb |
| Abstract: | This thesis aims to provide insights into a few challenging problems related to both conventional magnetic materials and new-generation magnetoelectronic devices intended for data storage and processing.
The approach taken is mainly experimental, by utilizing the advantages of synchrotron radiation based techniques, which are extremely powerful tools for studying magnetism at the nanoscale. It is expected that these studies, performed predominantly in the area of X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) and XMCD in photoemission electron microscopy (XPEEM), will help the further development of materials and devices for data storage and advanced spintronic technologies. |
