Abstract:The gain of $KGd_{0.447}Lu_{0.078}Yb_{0.475}(WO_4)_2$ waveguide optical amplifiers in the wavelength range from 980 nm to 1023 nm is reported. Values above 150 dB/cm were obtained with peak gain of 935 dB/cm at 981 nm.
