Abstract:The combination of microfluidics with BLMs (bilayer lipid membranes) consists of a powerful tool for multiplexed and high-throughput studies on membrane properties and membrane proteins. Here, we report an integrated device for BLM ex-perimentation using both optical and electrical measurements. This platform is validated for fundamental studies on mem-brane properties, measurements using (single) pore-forming species and high-resolution (confocal) microscopy.
