Abstract:	Recent achievements of our research group in integrated optics, specifically optical amplification and lasing in waveguides activated by rare-earth ions, on-chip spectroscopy using arrayed-waveguide gratings, DNA detection in an optofluidic chip, and opto-mechanical manipulation are reviewed.
