| Abstract: | We present microstructured channel waveguide lasers in KGd1-xLux(WO4)2:Yb3+ with a tuning range from 980-1045 nm and a record-low quantum defect of 0.7%. Extension of the tuning range seems feasible in cavities with lower loss. |
