Abstract:In one embodiment, a dedicated channel (e.g., is a coded composite transport channel) is configured for each user equipment in a broadcast group based on a first spreading code and a second spreading code. A same first spreading code is assigned to each user equipment in the broadcast group, and the second spreading code is assigned uniquely to each user equipment in the broadcast group. In another embodiment, a transport format combination set is generated for each user equipment in a broadcast group of user equipment. Each transport format combination set indicates valid transport formats for the associated user equipment, and each transport format combination set is configured to support selectively broadcasting and uni-casting over dedicated channels to the broadcast group of user equipment.
