| Abstract: | The goal of this research was to improve the face recognition performance for
camera surveillance. Face recognition for camera surveillance is dicult, because of the low resolution of the face in the recording, the uncontrolled illumination conditions, pose variations, and occlusions of the face due to, for instance, caps and sun glasses. In this research, our focus has been on solving the problems that occur due to the low resolution and illumination variations. In order to solve these problems, we investigate their eects on the various components of the face recognition system. |
