| Abstract: | Activating bonds: A cold plasma generated by dielectric barrier discharge in a microreactor converts alkanes (C1–C3) at atmospheric pressure. Large amounts of products with higher molecular weight than the starting hydrocarbons are observed showing that C-H activation at lower T favourably leads to C-C bond formation. |
