| Abstract: | We study the local density of states in a half metal sandwiched by the two superconductors. The spin-flip scattering at the junction interface opens the Josephson channels of the odd-frequency spin-triplet s-wave Cooper pairs. The penetration of the odd-frequency pairs enhances the quasiparticle density of states near the Fermi energy in a half metal, which is responsible for the unusual nonmonotonic temperature dependence of the Josephson current. On the basis of calculated results, we propose experiments to confirm the odd-frequency Cooper pairs. |
