Abstract:For the first time, high-quality BaSO4:Mn6+ layers were grown by liquid-phase homoepitaxy. Spectroscopic investigations confirmed the incorporation of Mn6+. BaSO4:Mn6+ has a potential as a near-infrared laser with a large tuning range.
