| Abstract: | The phase-separation phenomena observed in solutions of poly(2,6 dimethyl-1,4 phenylene oxide) in toluene have been investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. These measurements supplement the experimental evidence in favor of the concept that the phase transitions observed are crystallization and melting phenomena. The experiments suggest that two kinds of crystals can develop and that a seeded crystallization is possible. |
