| Abstract: | The feasibility of reflexive control in transfemoral prosthesis is assessed using a model of the lower extremity. The artificial triggering of reflexes, the processing of the central nervous system, the EMG detection and the control input to the prosthetic knee all take time. A model was used to assess what time delay is acceptable in such a closed loop system for it to be of additional value. |
