| Abstract: | First some types of dimensional instability are defined and from that some sources of such material behaviour are being distinguished. The mechanisms behind the several sources are explained, mainly in view of the metrological and structural applications lateron to be mentioned.
Finally these applications are being discussed taking into account one and two dimensional references of length and form, as well as structural applications. |
