Abstract:Experimental results on ultrafast all-optical wavelength conversion in silicon-on-insulator waveguides are presented. Red and blue shifts of 10nm have been observed in femtosecond pump-probe experiments. Alloptical switching and the importance of waveguide dispersion are discussed.
