| Abstract: | A digital measurement principle for absolute position is decscribed. The position data is recorded serially into a single track of a hard-magnetic layer with the help of longitudinal saturation recording. Detection is possible by means of an array of sensor elements which can be made of a substrate. This paper gives some technical information which is of importance in view of the development of a prototype. |
