| Abstract: | Variable optical delay lines are considered important for smart antenna applications due to the advantages over their electricalcounterpart, large bandwidth, reduced size and weight, and immunity to electromagnetic interference. A promising implementation of an opticaldelay line is the cascade of multiple optical ring resonators (ORRs), whichin ideal case is an optical all pass filter with tunable almostflat delay response.
