| Abstract: | This paper reports droplet generation in head-on devices. Two-phase flow diagrams are presented showing different breakup mechanisms at different flow regions. At low flow rates(10-6<Ca<10-5), droplet size is determined solely by the device geometry and independent of flow rate, which is a new phenomenon not yet reported. Moreover, droplet size is a function of the restriction channel width in the flow-ratio determined flow region. |
