Abstract:	De auteurs wijzen op een nieuwe verschijningsvorm van webservices: een zelfstandige economische activiteit. Zij voorspellen dat dit soort webservices wordt ingezet als kwaliteitsverhoging voor andere producten en diensten. Gezien het karakter van de services, ligt de verantwoordelijkheid ervoor bij marketing of logistiek. De rol van de it-afdeling wordt beperkt tot requirements engineering.
