Abstract:	De naleving van infectiepreventieprotocollen is allerminst optimaal. Terwijl protocollen vooral procedurele informatie weergeven over infectiepreventie en bestrijding, heeft zorgpersoneel meer behoefte aan praktische informatie over specifieke, klinische omstandigheden. Ook patiënten met een bacteriële infectie hebben vaak allerlei concrete vragen waar het protocol geen antwoord op geeft. Vanuit deze behoefte aan gebruikersgerichte informatie is door de Universiteit Twente, met behulp van EU-subsidie en de Duitse deelstaat Nordrhein-Westfalen, een webbased learning tool ontwikkeld over MRSA voor zowel ziekenhuispersoneel als publiek. Vanaf 19 februari 2008 is deze web-based learning tool online beschikbaar, zowel in het Nederlands als in het Duits.
