| Abstract: | Early advocates of digital documents were sure that it was just a matter of time before paper as a reading material would become obsolete. My experience as a heavy user of information from digital, Web-based sources is the opposite. I often judge the potential of the source on a ªrst impression or an abstract on screen, but when I decide to read a document in more detail, I will print it out. When I see the piles of print-outs I am producing and discarding, I keep wondering why ‘knowledge workers’ aren’t keen on using digital alternatives for paper. |
