Abstract:Metastable stainless steels can be characterised by a good combination of corrosion resistance, strength, formability and a large crack resistance. These properties make these materials highly suitable for various applications. As these materials transform, their behaviour is much more complex than that of conventional steel types. Sandvik NanoflexTM is one of these metastable austenitic steels, but it also includes two extra properties
