| Abstract: | In this thesis, two new imaging modalities are proposed for the early detection of glaucoma. Both modalities are based on optical coherence tomography, a technology that uses low-coherence light to create two-dimensional images of the retina. Depth scans are made as reflections are detected as a function of path length difference by rapidly changing the reference arm length of an interferometer. The sensitive coherence window that is created rejects light returning from other depths. |
