| Abstract: | Architectures for mobile multimedia devices need to find a balance between energy-efficiency, flexibility and performance. In this paper it is reasoned that this can be accomplished by way of a System-on-Chip (SoC) that comprises heterogeneous processing tiles. This heterogeneous SoC calls for domain specific coarse-grained reconfigurable processing tiles. A design of a domain specific coarse-grained reconfigurable architecture, the Montium , is discussed in detail. |
