| Abstract: | Coherence multiplexing (CM) is a relatively unknown form of optical CDMA, which is particularly suitable in access networks for optical communication systems. All previously proposed CM systems use balanced detection, which requires temperature control in order to keep the delay lines in a matched transmitter-receiver pair exactly the same and in this way stabilize the detected signal. In our paper, we propose a CM scheme that does not require temperature control. We will show that the output signal can be stabilized using a phase diversity scheme. |
