Abstract:	This paper gives a brief summary of some processes, direct and indirect, for the conversion of natural gas to useful products. It then proceeds to give an outline of some work from the authors' laboratories on subjects such as steam reforming, oxidative coupling and CO2 reforming of methane, paying particular attention to the development of novel catalysts for these processes.
